Trying to plan a date with your significant other? Or maybe it’s someone you just met and starting to get to know. But where in the great city of San Francisco is there to do?! Well, we’re here to help you with that! We’ve done all of these activities and think these are great date ideas, whether it’s with your significant other that you’ve been with for 5 years or someone you just met. Here are 10 great date ideas in San Francisco.
1. Mini golf at Urban Putt
Located in the Mission, Urban Putt is an unique indoor miniature golf venue that serves food and drinks. I hate mini golf but thought this was thoroughly entertaining and fun. This was also our first date spot 🙂
2. Play old school arcade games at Brewcade
Brewcade is a bar & arcade venue featuring a variety of drinks and vintage video-game machine. You will see classic games, such as whac-a-mole, time crisis, and pac man. The space is pretty small and cramped, so come here early to avoid the massive late night crowd!
Like any old classic arcade game, this place will require change but there's a machine in the back where you can insert bills for coins.
3. Have brunch and go bowling at Mission Bowling Club
Mission Bowling Club is a boutique bowling alley that serves drinks and a versatile menu that features locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Brunch is only served on weekends between 11am – 3pm. Reservations are recommended. We suggest making a brunch reservation first and then bowl afterwards. We highly suggest making a bowling reservation as lanes are usually booked. Single lane reservations may be reserved up to one week in advance, same day reservations are not permitted.
4. Grub at food trucks at Presidio Picnic Off the Grid
Presidio Picnic Off the Grid is a great place to have a picnic without worrying about bringing food and drinks! A variety of food trucks and beer stands are available throughout the Main Parade Grounds in the heart of the Presidio. Unfortunately, this occurs only from March to October, every Sunday from 11am – 4pm. On the plus side, it’s dog-friendly!
5. Go roller blading at Church of 8 Wheels
Located on Fillmore Street, Church of 8 Wheels is an indoor roller blading rink set in an old church. We did this activity as our second date and it was incredibly fun! They’re only opened on Fridays and Saturdays. Daytime welcomes families and all ages whereas night time is reserved for adults 18+.
6. Watch the sunset at Marshall Beach/Baker Beach
Marshall Beach and Baker Beach offers views of the Golden Gate Bridge and amazing sunset views. Beware of potential nudity! You can drive here and park along side the road and hike down to the beach.
